My mom comes in on Friday and we have to get ready for Robbie's birthday party. I'm still hoping to make it over on the ferry one of these days soon (still haven't taken a ferry anywhere)... too bad I can't do it this weekend. That sounds like there are going to be some great deals!

Actually if you are looking for something to do while your mom is here Saturday their are 2 large festivals going on... one is the highland games at the greenbank farm & wwinery. Then there is a arts & crafts festival in coupeville.

Hmmm... I guess I'll have to see how much progress we make on his party Friday night. Can you send me directions (and exactly what to do since I've never been on a ferry). I'll see if she's up for it.

This is the highland games info... its about 35 minutes from the ferry...

My house is about 10 minutes from the ferry. Anyways to get TO the ferry... from your house... take 128th/airport road w towards boeing... go through all the stop lights until you get to the last one that is under a highway... you are looking straight at a wall & the boeing plant. Take a LEFT. This will bring you onto the 2 lane highway. You will want to be in the right lane... you should see signs to the ferry... you will take a RIGHT at teh signs & it will take you to the speedway. Simply follow it until you see the ferry lane!!! You will see the holding lane... if there is a line get into as soon as you see the line. If not you get into it when you see the sign 'ALL FERRY VEHICLES MUST USE RIGHT LANE NOW' or something like that, its a big white sign. Anyways that will take you all the way to the ferry dock. You can buy the round trip tickets on your way over... check out the WSF website for fares... I know leaving the island you only have to pay for car & driver, not passengers. Anyways it runs every 30 minutes... & its about a 20 minute crossing. If you have more Questions let me know, thats just whats off the top of my head!

Bummer I wish we could make it. We have dentist appointments first thing in the morning in Bellingham then off to Monroe for Dan's company picnic. Maybe next time.

Looks like we aren't going to make it. I just have way to much to do (clean the house) before Robbie's party. Good luck~
